Forest School
At Marshwood we actively promote a love of the outdoors. Our outdoor space and the use of a local woodland provides improved opportunities for Forest School and OAA activities, enabling children to learn outside in a range of curriculum areas and alongside others.
Here at Marshwood, we are fortunate to have a beautifully developed Forest School area nearby where the children have an opportunity for outdoor education. Our youngest children go on scavenger hunts, observe the changing seasons and take part in teamwork activities such as den building.
The older children progress through a range of skills leading them to be confident with survival, first aid, wood whittling, conservation and fire making.
The children learn a wide range of transferable skills helping them to become admirable citizens of the future.
