Welcome! At Marshwood CE Primary Academy, we are committed to helping our children be happy, successful and supportive of one another. We have a fantastic staff, small classes and have been described as 'one big happy family'.

Our core Christian values of love and compassion, thankfulness, peace, service, forgiveness and endurance underpin everything we do as we work together at the heart of our community to help each of our pupils to broaden their horizons and reach their full potential in life.

Founded in 1842, Marshwood Church of England Primary is one of Dorset's longest established Primary schools. Around sixty children attend the school across three classes. The Head of School, teachers and teaching assistants work together as a strong team to provide the children with an excellent education. Standards at the school are high and the last Ofsted inspection (May 2017) praised the Head of School and staff for 'working tirelessly to make sure pupils recieve a good education,' and 'ensuring that pupils experience a rich curriculum, both in school and out.'

Children at Marshwood love learning outside. We can see the sea from our playground and children enjoy regular Forest School sessions in our nearby woodland classroom!

Please explore our website to find out more about us. If you would like to see if our school would be the best place for your child then we would be delighted to arrange a time to show you around. Please contact us to make an appointment.
