Pilsdon Class were invited to take part in an afternoon of music led by Mr Jevons at Axe Valley Academy. They were joined by children from other local primary and secondary schools and enjoyed an afternoon of song and music and also performed in front of a live audience. We are so proud of Pilsdon Class who performed with courage and pushed themselves out of their comfort zones. This small clip shows what they have achieved during their music lessons with Mrs Jevons in school, growing in confidence and working together as a team. Well done Pilsdon! @studyataxevalleyacademy

The Royal British Legion representative, Rosemary, kindly organised a school box of tokens for the children to purchase and wear to show their respect for Remembrance Day. This year, thanks to your support, we raised a fantastic £88.46 which added to the total of £2469.38 that Rosemary has collected locally. We are so proud to be part of the local community and it was an honour to take part in the Remembrance Service in the village.

According to findings from the NHS, 1 in 5 children in England suffer from a probable mental health issue, with 420,000 treated for such problems every month. With such high numbers of young people in need of mental health support, it’s perhaps unsurprising that plenty of them have turned to using apps intended to help them through these kinds of challenges. #WakeUpWednesday

During our Harvest Festival we asked for donations to help support @bridportcommunitykitchen who provide a safe and welcoming place for all that need it. We are so grateful for the support you showed this cause, and thanks to your donations we passed to them a fantastic supply of food goods, over £100 in cash donations to go towards buying sleeping bags for the homeless and also a brand new sleeping bag kindly donated by a parent. Bev Thornton, who is a volunteer here at the school and works for the charity passes on a huge thank you for all of your help and support. https://bridportcommunitykitchen.org.uk/
